The oatmeal is one of the most known breakfasts. Make it as healthy as possible with all kinds of berries and seeds to add vitamins and minerals to it, while making it delicious. Prepare it in just a few minutes.
Preparation
Depending on the oats you pick you may need to soak and cook them beforehand. Using oat flakes is the quickest and easiest way to prepare this food. Just pour it in a bowl — pictured below about 100 grams of gluten-free, bio oat flakes.
The next step is to add the seeds. My choices are usually pumpkin seeds for their zinc content, unhulled sesame seeds for their calcium content and flax seeds for their essential omega-3 fatty acids. Chia seeds are also a good choice. I suggest one teaspoonful of each.
Berries are the best fruits you can find on the face of the Earth. Eat them early in the morning to start your day in a good way. Both fresh and frozen works well, depending on the season.
For this particular oatmeal I added about 100 grams of frozen berry mix, that contains sour cherries, red and black currants, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries.
Pour a glass of hot water on it, mix it and let it sit for a few minutes.
The Oatmeal with Berries and Seeds
No oatmeal is ready until you don’t add some spices to it. Ginger works very well, while cinnamon will bump up the antioxidant content while giving it an amazing flavor.
Enjoy your meal!
